Draft updated guidelines for stroke management (communication partner training for aphasia, and urinary incontinence)

The Stroke Foundation Guidelines Development Group has released draft guidelines for stroke management, with recommendations for rehabilitation (communication partner training for aphasia), and managing complications (urinary incontinence).

These guidelines will be submitted to the NHMRC for approval under section 14A of the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992.

As part of the approval process, the Stroke Foundation is seeking submissions on the draft guidelines from 12 September to 21 October 2022.

Availability

The draft guidelines were made available to the public on Monday 12 September 2022, and all submissions were to be received by 5 pm, Friday 21 October 2022.
