Acute Stroke Action Plan
Overview
General practitioners are crucial to importantly prevent stroke, while they also provide critical care for those recovering from a stroke or transient ischaemic attack.
This suite of learning modules will support GPs in proactively identifying patients at elevated stroke risk and consistently applying evidence-based management strategies to lower risk. It will also assist GPs in formulating strategies to train their staff and patients about detecting stroke signs and symptoms and the importance of immediate response. Additionally, the program will assist GPs in pinpointing their local stroke unit and the available treatment options for patients experiencing an acute stroke.
