Fatigue
Abnormal fatigue, characterised by weariness, tiredness or lack of energy that is unrelated to exertion and is not relieved by rest—unlike normal fatigue—is experienced by an estimated 16% to 70% of stroke survivors. Its cause is unclear, but it can have debilitating effects, including on the stroke survivor’s ability to participate in rehabilitation.
