Driving
The effects of a stroke can lead to isolation and reduced quality of life, with the inability to return to driving particularly limiting community participation. Motor, sensory, visual or cognitive impairments can have a major impact on a stroke survivor’s ability to drive, and national guidelines place restrictions on licences for both stroke and TIA survivors. Driver retraining may be required to help them return to driving.
