Public consultation: New Australian elevated blood pressure and hypertension guideline
The Heart Foundation, Stroke Foundation and Hypertension Australia are seeking feedback on the draft 2027 Australian Guideline for the Diagnosis and Management of Elevated Blood Pressure and Hypertension in Adults.
As the first major update to Australia's hypertension guideline since 2016, this consultation is an important opportunity to help ensure the recommendations are evidence-based, practical and applicable across a range of healthcare settings.
We welcome feedback from healthcare professionals, researchers, consumers, professional societies and health organisations. We are particularly interested in whether the guidance is relevant to your area of expertise and can be effectively implemented in practice.
Public consultation closes Monday 12 October 2026.
