Join a Rehabilitation Taskforce advisory working group

Australian Stroke Coalition

The Australian Stroke Coalition National Stroke Rehabilitation Taskforce is seeking expressions of interest from health professionals with expertise in stroke rehabilitation to join one of five National Advisory Working Groups.

The Taskforce was established to address critical gaps in stroke rehabilitation, and support equitable access to high-quality care across the lifespan, through the development of a National Stroke Rehabilitation Strategy.

The working groups will support the Taskforce by bringing together multidisciplinary expertise to provide expert input and develop national policy recommendations across key areas of stroke rehabilitation.

The five priority areas for the National Advisory Working Groups are:

  • Workforce and standards
  • Access to excellent rehabilitation care (0–12 months after stroke)
  • Excellent long-term support to promote life-long recovery after stroke (> 12 months after stroke)
  • Data and monitoring
  • Funding and economics,
