Our Stroke Journey

Tuesday 6 September 2022, 2–3 pm AEST

National Webinar Series

Presented by Simone Russell and Gabrielle Ebsworth

Our Stroke Journey is a new booklet for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

It covers everything people need to know about life after a stroke, and includes stories and advice from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander survivors of stroke, families, and health workers. The booklet covers what is a stroke, how will stroke change me, how do I look after my health, how do I get ready to go home and how do I sort things out once I’m at home.

In this webinar you will:

  • Learn the background to the development of the booklet
  • Learn how to use the booklet in your setting and how to access it
  • Meet some of the survivors of stroke and health workers who have shared their stories in the booklet
  • Find out about other useful resources
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions.
