An overview of implementation science within the context of aphasia care will be provided. Attendees will learn which aphasia recommendations have been prioritised for implementation in Australia, and the process undertaken to identify them.
Attendees will also learn practical implementation steps that can be applied to clinical and research settings.
Dr Kirstine Shrubsole is a speech pathologist with a specialist research focus on implementation science in post-stroke aphasia management.
Her research involves collaborating with clinicians to improve practice, deliver best clinical care and reduce evidence-practice gaps.
