New awards recognise excellence and impact in the fight against cardiovascular disease
The Australian Cardiovascular Alliance is pleased to launch a new suite of awards celebrating excellence in cardiovascular research.
The awards recognise the value that researchers play in providing solutions to some of the most significant health challenges faced by the Australian community. The new awards are:
- The Game Changer Award – recognises the innovations and ideas that have challenged the norm and, which in turn, have transformed our way of doing or thinking of things for the better.
- The Translation Award – demonstrates the significant commitment and expertise involved in turning observations from the laboratory, clinic and community into interventions that improve the health of individuals and the public.
- The Mentor Award – recognises individuals who have not only demonstrated extraordinary leadership throughout their careers but have gone the extra mile by providing guidance and support to our emerging researchers.
These awards are open to ALL cardiovascular and stroke researchers, irrespective of membership of ACvA.
We encourage you to recognise the work of your colleagues and collaborators in the cardiovascular sector and look forward to celebrating our inaugural awardees with you later this year.
Please feel free to circulate broadly. Nominations close Friday 30 July 11:59 pm AEST.
